This week I joined the HC3 event held in Copenhagen. I assisted a tiny booth there, where Red Hat was our neighbor where we have so much success lately combining our efforts!
The event was held in Palads (link to the event is here). Unfortunately most sessions were held in Danish, so I got at least 5% of the conversations đ
The session a ran was of course in style of the movie theatre. Many movie (and series) references, “guess the meme” and some other fun bits. Focus was mostly around this new “ModernVirt” thing where you can run VMs at scale on a container platform. The platforms are there. The data layer… Often not to much.
This is where Portworx comes in. We deliver a data services layer right inside any flavor of Kubernetes, abstreacted away from infrastructure. Cool little tricks such as (a)sync replication between different infrastructures. Fully automated DR failovers between any block array, any group of local disks, or any block device you can find in public cloud. Single click “cloud exit” is a reality with Portworx… And many other cool things.
